Jatin Patel is married and has 4 children. His wife, JoAnn is the most beautiful person on the planet! (In his humble opinion). His children are Ethan (7), Elise (6), Evan (4), and Eliana (1). Jatin was born in India, but moved to the United States when he was 4. Jatin came to Christ as an 8 year old as part of an apartment outreach. His entire family came to Christ in the weeks and years that followed. He was the Salutatorian of Lakeview Centeniall High School in Garland Texas (1984). He graduated Cum Laude from Texas A&M University with a degree in Chemical Engineering. Jatin has been ministering to young people in a University environment since 1985. He spent two years on staff with GCM.Jatin was mentored for 10 years under Pastor Ray Muenich of Fellowship Church in College Station, TX before helping to plant Hope Fellowship in 2000. Jatin has a shepherds heart. He is often told he has the gift of encouragement. He has spent a total of 21 years in "hands-on" experience in working with churches reaching out to the university community.

The Hope Fellowship Board meets approximately 3 times per year. The board is responsible for providing general oversight, approval of the budget, formation and guidance of the church bylaws and articles as well as the churches vision and direction.
